Description

That obligatory set of "Here's proof that I actually understand how to draw real people" pages.

I like to do figure drawings, but I tend not to take many rendering risks. Any suggestions on how to make my work better would be greatly appreciated.

Are these from observation? I think you do a nice job of getting the contour down, but they still seem a little one dimensional. I think gesture helps convey form and volume more so that wire-frames, the weight of the figure. Something about the male figure seems a little off balance, I don't know if its just because the drawing is a little cockeyed, but something about his legs seems off, I found this chapter about Balance in Bridgeman's Life Drawing book to be especially helpful.
